back to the essance

Has it been longer then a minute since I last touched down. A quick update of things that have been and things that might just come.

First of all, I've been getting into this photography thing. villainousimages.110mb.com. It has also been sometime since I updated that site. Don't worry though, I have plenty more pictures from the past few months. Just need to make some time to get them up. Been wandering around the city, not always aimlessly. wandered through an abandoned mental asylum. Peep those shots out soon enough.

Second: I moved back to Melbourne. Maybe that should have been first, whatever. I'm back, and thats really all that matters. Moved into the north of Melbourne. Near enough to Brunswick street to make the rent worthwhile. Great breakfast at 2 in the afternoon.

Finally I suppose is third. I'm as lazy as ever. Had a job. Quit. Need a job. Not really looking. Haven't done any new designs since leaving Bendigo. This place just doesn't have the right vibe. It actually lacks any real vibe to be truthful. The vinyl floors don't help any. But I am looking to get back into it all. Was inspired earlier today in fact. So the juices are on there way to being boiled. Not keeping a close eye on that though, you know the old adage. Watch it and your fucked. Period. Need to also force my self into being inspired. Have been contacted by a few websites about advertising and distributing my gear. Get some okay cash going through that, then maybe start with some of the bigger ideas i haven't yet told you guys about.

I'll try and keep you all up to date. Once a week? Maybe? Is that good enough? Get those designs up here a.s.a.p. Not so quick was it.

- Keep on keepin' on, peace.

REVIEW: The Mighty Underdogs

now this ep is just to much fun. right from the get up your thrown into a fast paced hip-hop verbal bout between the gift of gab (blacklicious) and lateef the truth speaker (latyrx). right through to the final track, that is perfectly suited for bbq's on hot days and long afternoon drinking sessions. throughout this release is a light summer vibe. lots of moog bass and arp strings. vintage synthesizers. joining them on the production tip is headnodic, drummer and producer of the very talented hip-hop/jazz band crown city rockers. with a line up of guests including mf doom, ladybug mecca dj shadow and rashan ahmad (also of crown city rockers fame) is guaranteed to satisfy any part of you musical side. the ep, aptly titled the prelude, is exactly that. a prelude to the full lp, which will be released from these guys in early 2008. and if this release is anything to go by, then i strongly suggest you go and spend as much money as is needed to get your hands on this, any other releases by these guys and all future efforts. you can purchase the ep online from giftstribution.com. find put more about gab, lateef and the rest of the quannum family over at quannum.com and solesides.com.
